The Inter Faculty on-line drama competition for World Antimicrobial Resistance Awareness Week (WAAW) 2023, organized by the Sri Lanka College of Microbiologists (SLCM) in collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Ministry of Health, took place successfully on 16th November 2023.
Out of 24 video clips submitted by different faculties including Medical, Allied health and Agriculture faculties of different universities, the Faculty of Medicine, University of Jaffna secured 2nd place.
The team members (from the 43rd batch) of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Jaffna who participated in the drama competition are as follows:

The coordination and guidance provided by Dr. Valarmathy Ambalavanar, Head and Senior Lecturer of the Department of Microbiology, Faculty of Medicine, University of Jaffna, played a pivotal role in the team’s success. Mr Gajenthiran and Mr Sinthujan from the Dean’s office provided the logistical support.
