Upgraded Technology introduced in Museum Mounting and Museum Demonstration in recent years:
Since January 2022, Pathological Specimens are mounted in acrylic jars made in the Department itself, instead of purchased readymade jars.
Since 2024, routine formal saline fixative was replaced by buffered neutral formalin solution to avoid the formation of formalin pigment.
Since October 2022, action camera has been introduced in museum demonstration. Enlarged camera view of the museum specimen displays in the monitor of the smart board via a software installed in the smart board’s nut PC.
