Jaffna medical faculty football team had been invited to a friendly match on 11 august 2024 in Kelaniya university. The event took place in the university ground at 8.30 am. Our faculty team arrived to the Kelaniya university and their medical student union arrange a university guest house with full of facilities to the player for accommodation.
The event commenced at 8.30 am with the warm welcome extended to all guest. The 11 aside game had been started at 9.00 am and the match organized with the 30 minutes half time. Total playing time is 60minutes.As an incredible game between the two teams with an excellent defense of opponents side, none of the team players got chance to score in the 1st half. In the 2nd half extraordinary passes and dribbling skills of Jaffna medical faculty they scored the 1st goal of the game with in 5 min of game and lead the team to the leading side.
After 8 minutes Kelaniya medical faculty got a penalty chance and they well used that chance and made it as a goal and 2 teams were on equal score. Jaffna medical faculty scored 2nd goal by freekick from out of the D box .And the last 2 minutes of game Jaffna medical faculty scored their 3rd goal of the match. End of the match score is 3:1 . the Jaffna medical faculties emerged victories by 2 goals.
Excellency in team coordination and accurate passing skills of the team players of our football team lead to win this game. After the end of the match the winning trophy given to the team and event end in 11.00am.
