TENURE OF OFFICE

The Executive Committee shall serve a term of two (2) years.

The term shall begin on April 1st and end on March 31st of the next two (2) years.

An executive member is eligible for re-election for a second consecutive term after one (1) term in office, either for the same position or another.

After two (2) consecutive terms, an officer must relinquish the position for others to vie for, becoming eligible for re-election after a full term of two (2) years has elapsed.

FUNCTIONS OF THE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE

Patron shall:

  • Be the Head of the Faculty
  • Be an ex-officio member of the Executive Committee and a signatory to accounts.

The Chairman shall:

  • Convene and preside over all meetings.
  • Be a signatory to the accounts, sign documents on behalf of WSFoM, and be the chief spokesman.
  • Ensure the implementation of the Executive committee’s decisions and perform other duties directed by the Committee .
  • Submit an annual report to the Patron, outlining plans, decisions, and activities.
  • Nominate committee members in consultation with the Committee and Patron.
  • Be the custodian of WSFoM’s properties.

Vice-Chairman shall:

  • Assist the chairman and perform assigned functions.
  • Be a member of all committees, coordinate their activities, and act in the chairman’s absence.
  • Act as chairman if the position becomes vacant, pending elections.

General Secretary shall:

  • Issue notices and agendas for general meetings.
  • Keep accurate minutes and records of proceedings.
  • Handle all correspondence.
  • Compile and maintain an official list of members.
  • Perform duties assigned by the chairman.

Assistant General Secretary shall:

  • Act in the absence of the General Secretary.
  • Assist the General Secretary in duties.

Treasurer shall:

  • Keep proper books of accounts.
  • Collect subscriptions and revenues.
  • Prepare financial statements for meetings and audits.
  • Be a signatory to the account.
  • Perform duties assigned by the Committee.

  • To handle the sports related activities.

  • To handle the matters related to students.
