The Collaboration for Research, Implementation and Training in Critical Care in Asia and Africa(CCAA), led by the Centre for Tropical Medicine and Global Health, Nuffield Department of Medicine, University of Oxford, UK, supports two research fellows who are pursuing doctoral studies at the University of Birmingham.
Work Package 1 is dedicated to strengthening the detection and management of atrial fibrillation with the aim of evaluating the existing digital technologies for the diagnosis and management of atrial fibrillation to optimize early detection and care in low middle-income countries. Current progress includes the development of a prevalence manuscript, which is being prepared for submission to a peer-reviewed journal, alongside an ongoing systematic review assessing the diagnostic accuracy of atrial fibrillation screening methods.
