A group of medical students conducted a health awareness workshop on child abuse at St. Mary’s R.C.T.M.S. for students in grades 6 to 9 on October 9 th , 2024 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM. The workshop used interactive methods like PowerPoint presentations and handouts to educate students about different types of abuse, including physical, emotional, sexual, and neglect. Students learned how to identify signs of abuse, speak up against it, and seek help from trusted adults. The session concluded with group discussions and a feedback questionnaire, which revealed a significant improvement in students’ knowledge of child abuse. This initiative is crucial for protecting children and fostering a safer community.
