
Prof. R. Surenthirakumaran, Dean and Professor in Community Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Jaffna, participated in the Hanoi RCC Launch held on March 13, 2025, in Hanoi, Vietnam.

Following the launch, Prof. Surenthirakumaran engaged in a Joint Scientific Symposium, where experts from diverse backgrounds shared insights on regional health challenges and sustainable development goals.
He also contributed to discussions on SDGHI’s RCC (Sustainable Development Goals Health Initiative’s Regional Coordinating Center), highlighting its impact on healthcare systems and research collaborations.
Additionally, hospital visits provided an opportunity for participants to observe healthcare innovations and best practices in Vietnam.
The event concluded with the Duke Global Health Tripartite Discussion, fostering dialogue between academic institutions on advancing global health initiatives.
