The above award will be presented to the overall best-performing student (in both academic and extracurricular activities) of each batch in the Faculty at the end of each academic year. The best outstanding student from each batch shall be selected based on the guidelines issued by the UGC (see annexure 1).
Eligibility Requirements
- The applicant should be an undergraduate student registered to follow MBBS programme offered by the Faculty.
- The applicant shall have completed all the academic requirements of the considered year, including all the compulsory courses.
- The applicant shall have above 65% for each examination can be taken as the minimum for application.
- The following batches of students who have successfully completed their First, Second, or Final Examination for Medical Degrees with First Class or Second Class Upper can apply for the award:

- 43rd batch (2019/2020) – Second examination
- 44th batch (2020/2021) – Second examination
- 46th batch (2022/2023) – First examination
Ineligible Students
- Any student on whom disciplinary action has been taken by the Vice Chancellor or Deputy Vice Chancellor for any misconduct shall not be eligible.
Eligible students are requested to submit their applications with supportive evidences (certificates etc. for extracurricular activities) for the award using the form available on the Faculty website. Applications should be submitted to the Office of the Dean, Faculty of Medicine, by 22nd April 2026.
