Jaffna Healthy City Initiative Presented at the 100- Year Celebration of Organized Community Health Services

The Faculty of Medicine, University of Jaffna participated in the 100-Year Celebration of Organized Community Health Services in Sri Lanka by showcasing the Jaffna Healthy City Initiative at the Exhibition on Public Health Success Stories & Innovations.

As part of the exhibition, a video presentation titled “Jaffna Healthy City Initiative: A Multi-Sectoral Approach to Urban Public Health Improvement in Northern Sri Lanka” was presented, highlighting the initiative’s collaborative efforts to promote healthier urban environments through multi-sectoral partnerships. The presentation showcased key activities, achievements, and the ongoing commitment of stakeholders towards improving public health and sustainable urban development in Jaffna.

Representing the Jaffna Healthy City Initiative, Prof. R. Surenthirakumaran, Dr. P. A. D. Coonghe, and Project Coordinators Ms. K. Kamshana and Ms. U. Mathavy participated in the event.
