
The Faculty of Medicine, University of Jaffna is proud to announce that our team has secured Third Place in the prestigious video competition organized by the College of Pathologists of Sri Lanka (CPSL). This competition was held as part of CPSL’s 50th Anniversary Celebrations, aiming to raise awareness about cancers and highlight the essential role of pathologists in cancer diagnosis and care.
The faculty’s team consisted of the following talented students:

• J. Janenthan
• W. Wijayanthy
Their creative and informative video effectively communicated critical insights on cancer awareness, screening, and the vital role of pathology in early detection and treatment. Competing against teams from various universities across Sri Lanka, their dedication and innovation earned them this well-deserved recognition.
The CPSL video competition was open to undergraduate students from recognized universities in Sri Lanka. Participants were required to produce engaging 3–5 minute videos that were evaluated based on accuracy, creativity, clarity, and impact. The winners were honored at the CPSL 50th Anniversary Celebration and Presidential Induction Ceremony.
The Faculty of Medicine, University of Jaffna extends its heartfelt appreciation to all students from the faculty who participated in this competition with passion and commitment. Your efforts in promoting medical education and public awareness are truly commendable.
