FMTA dinner and felicitation 2025 was held on 9th of April 2025 at Clinical Training and Research Centre (CTRB) Jaffna. The event was arranged by Faculty of Medicine Teachers Association and was successfully carried out by the immense support of each and every staff of the association and their team.
Initially, there was a roof top welcome party under the open sky to celebrate the evening. The ambiance was filled with excitement, laughter, and the soft hum music played in the background. Fairy lights twinkled above, adding a magical charm to the evening. People mingled and shared stories over snacks and drinks. It was the perfect setting to break the ice, form new bonds and set the tone for the days to come. The event commenced in the auditorium with a traditional oil lamp lighting ceremony. The atmosphere was serene and respectful as meaningful songs were performed, setting an emotional and reflective tone. Following this, the beloved teachers “Dr.J.Ganeshamoorthy, Prof.K.Sivapalan, Dr.D.Gunarajasingam, Prof.S.Raviraj and Dr.S.Ampikaipakan” were warmly felicitated, acknowledging their dedication and invaluable contribution with heartfelt words and tokens of appreciation. The programme continued with a series of soothing musical performances and speeches that resonated with the audience, creating a calm and joyful ambiance. To lighten the mood, a funny and entertaining game was organized for the kids, filling the auditorium with laughter and excitement. An engaging quiz then added a touch of healthy competition and fun for all ages.
The memorable evening concluded with a delicious dinner, where everyone gathered, chatted, and enjoyed the meal together, marking a perfect end to a beautifully organized event.
