A team of students from the 44th and 45th Batches of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Jaffna, secured Third Place in the prestigious national video competition organized by the College of Pathologists of Sri Lanka (CPSL) as part of its 50th Anniversary Celebrations.
The competition aimed to raise awareness about cancers and highlight the vital role of pathologists in accurate diagnosis and patient care. The national-level competition was open to undergraduate students from universities across Sri Lanka, and entries were evaluated based on accuracy, creativity, clarity, and overall impact.
The team produced a highly creative and informative video focusing on cancer awareness, early detection through screening, and the essential contribution of pathology in guiding treatment decisions. In addition to winning Third Place in the main competition, the team also secured Third Place in the ‘Most Popular Award’, determined through Facebook and YouTube engagement, including views, likes, and shares.
