As part of the ongoing research activities under the Global NIHR Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) project, a Stakeholder Focus Group Discussion was conducted on 19 June 2026 at the Board Room, Faculty of Medicine, University of Jaffna, to gather stakeholder perspectives on survivor engagement in research. The discussion generated valuable insights into pathways for identifying potential survivors, barriers and facilitators influencing participation, and key safeguarding considerations required for ethical and trauma-informed engagement. The findings will contribute to the development of Survivor Panels in Sri Lanka and inform the design of strategies that promote meaningful, inclusive, and sustainable survivor involvement in research.
