Semen analysis is the one of the first steps to detect male fertility issues. New technologies with implications for the treatment of male infertility are being developed and advancing rapidly. It is important, therefore, that clinicians, laboratory scientists and allied health professionals are aware of the basic evaluation and treatment, as well as progress in technology that may have an impact on treatments for male infertility.
Gaining the relevant knowledge and hands on training in andrology is essential to run the andrology laboratory successfully. Qualified, and skilled personnel are the one of the important assets to a laboratory and plays a major role in disease diagnosis.
