DR.M.GANESARATNAM MEMORIAL ORATION – 2026

The Faculty of Medicine, University of Jaffna, invites applications for the prestigious Dr. M. Ganesaratnam Memorial Oration – 2026, an event dedicated to recognizing outstanding academic contributions in the field of surgery.

This oration provides a platform for researchers and academics to showcase innovative work that contributes to surgical practice, policy development, and healthcare services, particularly with relevance to Sri Lanka. Submissions are open to both individual researchers and collaborative teams, provided the work is original and has not been previously presented.

Applicants are required to submit a manuscript prepared according to the specified guidelines, ensuring anonymity and adherence to academic standards. In addition, a separate covering letter including personal and institutional details must be provided.

All submissions must clearly demonstrate the applicant’s personal academic contribution and should be presented in a narrative style suitable for oral presentation. Please note that revisions will not be permitted after submission, and non-compliance with the guidelines may result in rejection.

The deadline for submission is 29th May 2026.
