Creating awareness on road traffic accidents among three-wheeler drivers in Jaffna Municipal area and Nallur Pradeshiya Sabha Major 04 Subgroup A. Road traffic accidents have become a very important public health problem and one of the Leading causes of injury and mortality in Sri Lanka. We have chosen Jaffna and Nallur to implement our awareness programme because prevalence of road traffic accidents and hospital admissions in Teaching hospital Jaffna and other peripheral hospitals are increasing drastically nowadays. On October 9, 2024, a health awareness event took place in the Jaffna Municipal area and Nallur Pradeshiya Sabha, targeting three-wheeler drivers from 12:00 PM to 5 PM. The session aimed to enhance awareness about road traffic accidents through small group discussions, handouts, and banners.
