Department of Surgery, Faculty of Medicine, University of Jaffna and Srilanka Association of Urological Surgeons (SLAUS) in Collaboration with Northern chapter of College of Surgeons of Sri Lanka (CSSL) organized a Urology Day in Jaffna on 16th January 2023. The theme was to uplift the Urology care of patients in Northern region.
Advanced Renal stone surgery with standard and mini percutaneous Nephro Lithototomy(PCNL) live workshop was organized with participation of experts and trainees from all parts of the country.
As we all know that nursing staff are playing major role in patient care.
We conducted a Urology workshop and symposium for urology Nurses from all major hospitals of the Northern Province.
Dr. B. Balagobi, Senior Lecturer and Consultant Urological Surgeon lead this event as Course director.
Dr. Suren de Zylva (President/SLAUS), Dr. Kalana Palliyaguruge (Secretary/SLAUS), Dr. T. Sathiyamoorthy (Director, Teaching Hospital Jaffna), Dr. Surenthirakumaran (Dean/Faculty of Medicine, Jaffna), Dr. S. Gobishangar (Head/Department of Surgery), Dr. Umashangar (President, Norther chapter, CSSL) graced this occasion.
