Plastic Zero Banks Workshop was conducted at NSB Bank Jaffna branch to introduce and implement zero plastic practices in the banks in the Jaffna Municipal Council area. This workshop was conducted for the bank staff on 30th July 2024, 3:30 PM – 4:30 PM by a group of medical students from the 44th batch. During the workshop the Medical students discussed the effect of plastic pollution, current status of plastic usage in banks, benefits of Zero plastic practices and alternatives for plastic usage.
Finally a working committee was formed among the bank staff to follow up a plastic bank concept in the NSB Bank.
