A workshop on healthy canteen implementation was conducted on October 5, 2024, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, for school teachers and canteen staff from schools under the Jaffna Municipal Council. This initiative was organized by Jaffna Healthy City and the Department of Community and Family Medicine in collaboration with the 44th batch of medical students at the Boardroom of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Jaffna. The primary objective of the workshop was to raise awareness about healthy and unhealthy foods, the importance of a balanced diet, and the necessary safety measures for maintaining a healthy school canteen.
