The Faculty of Medicine, University of Jaffna, hosted the Dr. Arunasalam Sivapathasundaram Memorial Lecture 2024 on 22nd October 2024.
This event honors the legacy of Dr. Arunasalam Sivapathasundaram, a former Consultant Paediatrician at the Teaching Hospital, Jaffna, who made significant contributions to paediatric healthcare in Northern Sri Lanka.
This year’s lecture, titled “Young Lungs, Big Challenges: Impact of Respiratory Disease in Children of Northern Sri Lanka,” was delivered by Dr. N. Umasankar, Consultant Paediatrician and Senior Lecturer in Paediatrics at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Jaffna.
The event took place at the Hoover Auditorium of the Faculty of Medicine, with attendees from the medical community, students, and healthcare professionals.
