British High Commissioner Hon.Andrew Patrick visited Medical Faculty at the University of Jaffna on 21 August 2026. During his visit he met academics and the Research team of Centre for Digital Epidemiology. The meeting highlighted ongoing joint projects in digital health, AI applications in healthcare, and community-focused research, along with the role of research fellows and assistants who gained experience through the AF project.
Discussions also looked ahead to new areas of collaboration, including AI-driven health data solutions, virtual care models for rural communities, and expanded training and exchange opportunities for early-career researchers.
