Professor Saroj Jeyasinghe, Professor in Clinical Medicine, Founder Head of Department of Humanities, Faculty of Medicine, University of Colombo and former Chair Professor in Medicine, Department of Clinical Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, University of Colombo visited our Students’ Wellbeing Centre on 6th of March 2024.
He came to Jaffna to deliver the Dr.Nadarajaj Sivarajah Memorial lecture 2024 and Keynote address on undergraduate research symposium 2024, Faculty of Medicine, University of Jaffna. During his stay in Jaffna, he took the opportunity to visit our Wellbeing Centre. He appreciated the functioning and progress of our Centre and impressed by all our projects especially the gardening project, an innovative idea in Sri Lankan medical school. He commended our team for their efforts and congratulated us on our commitment to improving student wellbeing. Additionally he had a brief talk with students encouraging them to actively participate in wellbeing activities.
Overall, Professor Saroj Jeyasinghe visit was inspiring and motivating.
