This field health activity was conducted to address the rising public health concern of Scrub Typhus (Orientia tsutsugamushi) by creating an accessible, high-impact educational awareness video. Recognizing that early diagnosis significantly reduces morbidity, the core objective of this project was to bridge the knowledge gap regarding the vector (trombiculid mites/chiggers), characteristic clinical features (such as the pathognomonic eschar), and essential preventive practices. The group undertook targeted field research to identify common local risk factors, drafted an academically rigorous yet culturally sensitive script, and filmed instructional segments demonstrating practical preventive measures—such as clearing peridomestic vegetation and wearing protective clothing. This digital intervention aims to empower vulnerable populations with actionable health literacy to promote early healthcare-seeking behavior.
Time Duration Video was recorded on 16th October 2025. Place Video was recorded in a house near MOH- Nallur. Permission was taken earlier from house owners.
