Vaithianathar Nadarajah Memorial Prize in Community Medicine
This prize is awarded annually to the student who performs best in Community Medicine, and obtains a Distinction in Community Medicine. The prize was donated in 1980 by Mrs. S. Nadarajah of Jaffna in memory of her husband, late Dr. Vaithianathar Nadarajah.

Sivagurunathan Memorial Award
The Sivagurunathan Memorial Award is presented to the student who obtains the highest competence in the field project components (Field Health Activity, Case study and Family Attachment) of the Community Medicine curriculum among those who obtained at least a Second Class in the 3rd MBBS Part II (until 2009) or 2nd Examination for Medical Degrees Part II (2010 and after). The award was established by Mrs. P. Sivagurunathan in 1994 in memory of her husband, late Mr. S. Sivagurunathan, AGA, Nallur, Jaffna.
