This field health promotion programme was conducted to address the growing problem of excessive screen use among primary school children. The project aimed to increase awareness regarding the harmful physical, psychological, and social effects of prolonged screen exposure while promoting healthier alternatives such as outdoor play, creative activities, and positive social interactions. The programme targeted Grade 03 students and was implemented in two phases. During the first visit, students participated in a drama, and a drawing competition related to healthy screen habits. Smart Habit Tracker Cards and parent awareness leaflets were distributed to encourage behaviour change at home. During the follow-up visit, outdoor activity competitions were conducted, tracker cards were collected and reviewed, outstanding drawings were recognized. Then prizes were given according to the assessment of the drawing competition.
