This field health education program aims to promote healthy dietary habits among Grade 9 students by addressing the risks associated with fast food consumption. Adolescents in this formative stage often consume fast food due to its convenience and taste, frequently without awareness of its high content of saturated fats, sugars, and sodium, which are linked to non-communicable diseases (NCDs) like obesity, diabetes, and cardiovascular issues. Through an interactive awareness workshop held at J/Kokuvil Hindu College and J/Osmaniya College, the program utilizes multimedia presentations, group discussions, role-playing activities, and pre- and post-intervention assessments to educate students. The initiative seeks to increase knowledge about nutritional content, improve awareness of health impacts, and encourage healthier, lifelong dietary choices, thereby contributing to national public health goals and the prevention of NCDs.
